The Stones In The Park

On July 5, 1969, two days after the death of its former band member Brian Jones, the Rolling Stones performed an open concert in London’s Hyde Park with an audience somewhere between 250,000 and 500,000. It was also the debut concert of the band’s new guitarist Mick Taylor. The concert began with Mick Jagger giving Jones a eulogy by reading Percy Bysshe Shelley‘s poem Adonaïs on the death of poet John Keats.

The concert, The Stones in the Park, is available on Amazon.
