The Last Time John Lennon & Paul McCartney Played Together
It’s perhaps the most successful musical partnership of all time, but it lasted for only 17 years, with a 4 year pause toward the end. John Lennon met Paul McCartney in 1957 and played together until the Beatles broke up in 1970. The two would only play together one more time, but it would be in a late night coke-filled jam session in an Los Angeles music studio. Lennon, of course, would die tragically 6 years later. The session has been available as a bootleg for years and is now available on YouTube. The session itself is not really all that remarkable except for the sole fact that it includes Lennon and McCartney for the last time.
