The Dave Brubeck Quartet On The BBC In 1964

On August 25, 1964, The Dave Brubeck Quartet performed a 30 minute concert on the BBC. The quartet, made up of Dave Brubeck on piano, Paul Desmond on alto sax, Joe Morello on drums and Eugene Wright on bass, the quartet plays many of its most famous music. Brubeck was no slouch in the world of music. Originally intending to be a classical music composer, he studied under the French composer Darius Milhaud, who was the one who urged Brubeck to become a jazz musician. Thank you Darius Milhaud for that.
