In the spirit of today’s State of the Union speech given by President Obama, let’s look back to the speech given by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1942.
This Tuesday, Barack Obama will give his sixth State of the Union address before the 113th Congress. The tradition has evolved over the years with presidents Washington and Adams delivering the speech in person in front of the Congress. But from presidents Jefferson to Taft (1801-1912), the State of the Union was only a written report delivered to Congress. President Wilson revived the tradition of delivering it in person starting again in 1913.
The web is a gigantic blob of information. While one might think we are learning more due to the internet, we at BrainLoadr would argue that we are actually learning less, largely due to the good stuff getting buried in the deluge of crap and clutter that much of the web is.
