Tim Berners-Lee Wishes The Web A Happy 25th Birthday

The internet existed long before 1989, be it in the form of the ARPANET, Gopher, email or whatever. The web that most people know it as today (joining Hypertext with the internet) started with Tim Berners-Lee and CERN, where he worked as a fellow and also served as the location of the largest Internet node in Europe. Here Lee wishes the Internet a 25th birthday as well as requesting proposals to keep the Internet open and free and even perhaps elevating it to the level of a human right.
