I am not afraid to admit that I am somewhat of a gadget geek, but I will never, ever, buy Google Glass. Living in the heart of Silicon Valley, every time I see someone roaming the streets wearing these Borg-wannabe “glasses”, I want to slap them to their senses. But I don’t think that would make any difference.

The Driverless Car Of The Future

Do you see this promotion video for driverless cars as part of your future? As a driver for more than 25 years, I don’t know if I could ever completely relax in a car like that. Even if it were to achieve a 99% success rate, I’d still be nervous about that 1% failure rate, too much to distract me from watching a movie, reading a book, browsing the web or having sex (you know you’re thinking it) while driving to a far off destination point.

The car in this video is the XchangE Self-Driving Car Concept that will be on display at the Geneva Motor Show in 2015.
