In 1967, Martin Luther King sat down for a lengthy interview on The Mike Douglas Show, which included discussion with the singer Tony Martin. The topics and themes discussed in this interview seem extremely relevant to today’s world, not just the one of the 1960s.

On April 3, 1968, one day before he was assassinated at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee , Martin Luther King gave his final speech known as ‘I’ve Been To The Mountaintop‘. Hearing the speech after the fact, many lines seem almost prophetic to what would happen 24 hours later.
It is not clear to me whether or not video of the full speech is available, as I can only find short clips as seen above. However audio and text of the speech is available.
