San Francisco Four Days Before The 1906 Earthquake

On April 18, 1906, San Francisco experienced the biggest earthquake in its recorded history. 80% of the city was destroyed (mostly by fire, not the earthquake itself) and the city had to be rebuilt practically from scratch. Four days before the earthquake, a film of Market Street was shot with a Bell & Howell camera by the Miles brothers (Harry, Herbert, Earle and Joe). And now more recently, Hardscrabble Pictures has added audio to match the video showing what the city would have sounded like at this time.
