Pink Floyd And The Making Of ‘Wish You Were Here’

It is the opinion of this writer that the greatest album of all time is Pink Floyd’s “The Dark Side Of The Moon“, an album that made them incredibly wealthy as well as one of the greatest bands in the world. The album remained on the charts for 741 weeks from 1973 to 1988, a feat unmatched by any band since. So how does a band follow something like that? Either you break up or you make an incredibly subpar album and become a one album wonder. But Pink Floyd did follow up Dark Side with another incredible album, “Wish You Were Here”. Perhaps the album didn’t reach the stellar heights that Dark Side did, but “Wish You Were Here” is an incredible album in its own right. This is the story of how that album was made.
